Phyllis Fehr is a former Hamilton Health Sciences nurse who spent her career caring for patients at Juravinski Hospital, McMaster University Medical Centre, and the former Chedoke Hospital. Phyllis is a human rights activist, policy advisor, and spokesperson. Since her diagnosis with young-onset Alzheimer’s disease, she has made it her mission to change the way people understand dementia. She has advocated internationally for dignity, respect, and inclusion for people living with dementia, including through her work with the Ontario Dementia Advocacy Group, Dementia Alliance International, and Reimagining Dementia.
