  • PhD Candidate – Health Research Methodology, McMaster University

Bio: Ahreum is currently a PhD candidate in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University. With a passion for osteoporosis and fracture risk reduction, Ahreum completed her Master of Public Health at Yonsei University in South Korea. As a PhD student working at the Geras Centre for Aging Research, Ahreum is exploring risk factors of osteoporosis and osteosarcopenia. Her research involves the development of risk factors of osteoporosis and fractures and social isolation for older adults utilizing the Canadian Longitudinal Study of Aging (CLSA) database. In recognition of academic excellence, Ahreum was awarded an academic excellence scholarship from Yonsei University Hospital System and a graduate bursary from McMaster University.
