Bio: Dr. Patricia Hewston was a post-doctoral fellow at the Geras Centre for Aging Research within the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. In recognition of academic excellence and leadership, Dr. Hewston has received 30+ academic awards including the prestigious AGEWELL Emerging Entrepreneur Award, Hamilton Health Sciences New Investigator Fund, Labarge Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mobility in Aging and Canadian Frailty Network Interdisciplinary Fellowship. During her postdoctoral fellowship, she developed an “off-the-shelf” product with online certification courses for certified GERAS DANCE instructors with AGE-WELL SIP Accelerator Program funds.
