Why this toolkit?
This toolkit was independently developed to help postgraduate medical education training programs incorporate equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives into their programs, with the goal of operationalizing our institutional commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. The resources in this toolkit aim to be a starting point to facilitate individual programs achieving their EDI goals, recruiting learners who reflect the diversity of our society, and creating an environment of equity and respect for everyone. This toolkit represents its developer’s personal educational philosophies and provides supporting evidence where available but does not represent an official recommendation from McMaster University or its affiliated hospitals.
