The Division of Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University is a regional team of academic geriatricians with diverse experience, talents and interests. They find meaning in three key areas: service of the clinical needs of frail older adults in our region, the discovery of new knowledge that will deepen understanding and lead to improved geriatric medical care and education of current and future health care providers working alongside them. They have five robust teaching sites within Hamilton and outstanding educators in our community rotations, offering clinical rotations for 140+ learners annually.

Dr. Joye St. Onge is the Division of Geriatric Medicine Director and St. Peter’s/McMaster Chair in Aging helping to support research and innovation at the Geras Centre for Aging Research.
